Department of Spanish, School of Modern Languages
The School of Modern Languages at the University of St Andrews is hosting a major interdisciplinary conference on British-Mexican relations since independence in 1821, bringing together a formidable group of scholars from both Mexico and the UK, together with stakeholders and practitioners currently engaged in forging links between the two countries. The conference is being organised in response to the “Year of Mexico in the United Kingdom” and “Year of the United Kingdom in Mexico” (http://mexicouk2015.mx/en/dual-year) initiated by Britain and Mexico’s governments following their recent commitment to forge a new era of bilateral relations.
